School for the Future of Innovation in Society
The School for the Future of Innovation in Society (SFIS) is committed to making innovation-in-society and futures tractable fields of study, and advancing innovation that serves the public interest. With faculty from roughly three dozen academic disciplines, SFIS brings diverse expertise together to train the next generation of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral leaders.
An academic unit in the College of Global Futures, the school works at the cutting edge of topics including anticipatory governance, responsible research and innovation, and socio-technical change. Courses, degree programs, and opportunities to collaborate with leading research centers and faculty prepare students to enter careers that advance public value and pursue the vision that “the future is for everyone.”
