Human and Social Dimensions of Science and Technology
The School for the Future of Innovation in Society (SFIS) offers a doctorate in the human and social dimensions of science and technology (HSD). The doctoral program builds on the combined expertise of world-class research centers both inside SFIS and elsewhere at Arizona State University.
HSD students analyze and proactively tackle scientific and technological issues with intellectual rigor and transdisciplinary methods. They develop vital research and practice skills that enable them to confront complex socio-technical challenges, anticipate outcomes, and advance the public good. Students move forward with careers spanning policy, academics, innovation, technology, and more.
