Environmental Humanities Initiative

The Environmental Humanities Initiative explores how topics humanistic perspectives from history, film, art, religion and others might serve as pathways into complex questions of and discussions about our social, environmental, and technological world. The cross-university initiative is highly interdisciplinary and leverages wide-ranging resources to explore what it means to be a human.

Equity and well-being is central to the initiative. Local and global partners conduct joint research and create educational programs that provide students and community members opportunities to learn about and engage critical challenges of our time.
