Cox Connected Environments Collaboratory

The Cox Connected Environments Collaboratory at ASU is a partnership to bring efficient and sustainable smart solutions to the campuses and communities that ASU serves. Cox’s innovative resources and robust infrastructure are a clear connection to make a real impact on ASU’s campuses and communities.

One ASU sustainability goal of achieving climate positivity by eliminating its carbon footprint and saving more greenhouse gas emissions than it’s generating. To meet this goal, the Collaboratory has devised a smart solution: Autonomous and Aerial, Connected, Electric and Shared (ACES) vehicles. This “smart fleet” of vehicles would be able to provide convenient transportation for a greater number of people, rethinking the approach to getting around campus and beyond.
