Carbon-Neutral, Climate-Resilient Futures

The International Energy Agency estimates that $40 trillion will be spent across the globe to support carbon-neutral energy transitions in the coming decades. Carbon-Neutral, Climate-Resilient Futures, part of the School for the Future of Innovation in Society’s Center for Energy and Society, asks and answers vital questions about this transition. For example, how we can leverage technological change, imagination, and capital to minimize disruption and benefit society long-term?

Carbon-Neutral, Climate-Resilient Futures casts an inclusive focus, approaching topics ranging from the governance of energy transitions, to policy innovation, to urban infrastructure and resilience. Projects are community-centered, technologically aware, and continually driven towards understanding the human impact and implications of socio-technical change.
