Center for Engagement and Training in Science and Society
The Center for Engagement and Training in Science and Society leverages research, partnerships, and education to change how people discuss and learn science and technology. The center maintains eight core programs on topics ranging from citizen science, to writing and journalism, to participatory technology assessment. The Center for Engagement and Training in Science and Society questions assumptions, confronts challenges, and removes barriers to entry in science and technology fields. Researchers develop novel approaches to public interaction that empowers participants to engage science and technology rather than simply understand it. The School for the Future of Innovation in Society and the Consortium for Science, Policy & Outcomes (CSPO) houses this center.
